| I read a verse in Proverbs the other day, and the Lord just brought it back to me as I was deciding what to write in this entry. I believe someone needs to hear it.
"The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray." Proverbs 12:26
Wow! That verse says a lot. I want to write on this some more, but I would like to hear your thoughts first. Meditate on the Word. Write to me, and let me know what you think.

| Thanksgiving is almost here. I am so excited! The holidays are coming. Christmas is just around the corner. Here's a little song my grandmother taught me that I think is so cute.
"Thanksgiving Day is coming, so Mr. Turkey said, "So very careful I must be or I will lose my head." The pumpkin told the turkey, "I'm scared Oh me Oh my! They'll mix me up with sugar and spice and I'll be a pumpkin pie!"
Ha! I'll sing it for you sometime.
Well, just a note about Thanksgiving. As much as I like to eat, Thanksgiving is not all about food. John was saying the prayer at Xander's Day Care dinner today, and it reminded me of the real meaning of Thanksgiving for me. I am so thankful that God sent His ONLY Son to die on the cross for us. That is the ultimate reason to be thankful.
Christmas is coming. I have some great ideas for some dramas for Christmas since we are not doing the Christmas play. We must set up a practice. Tentatively, plan for Dec. 10th at 6:00 at our house.

| Hey, I am sorry we have not been able to update. We had a problem with the cookies on our computer.
Yeah! Youth Service was great! I think Refuge drama team and praise team did a fantastic job, and wasn't Pastor John's message wonderful; knowing who you are in Christ. I thought one point he said was especially important. Each person has a specific purpose in life, and there are things that God especially wants each of us to do. He also brought out how each of us sometimes try to fit into molds where we do not belong. Everyone has special talents. Some of us are dancers, some are writers, some are singers, some are artists. So many times we look at others and want to do want they are doing; when we need to look at God and ask Him, "What would You like me to do?" I know good and well that I am not an artist, even though I would love to draw and paint. I have to take my talents and ask God how He wants me to use them. The Bible says in Proverbs 20:24 "A man's steps are of the Lord; how then can a man understand his own way." Proverbs19:21 says, " There are many plans in a man's heart, nevertheless the Lord's counsel-that will stand." What talents has God given you? Can you comfort people? Can you sing? Can you pray? Ask the Lord to show you your God given talents and how you can use them for His kingdom. His will is always better than ours. Remember....
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways ackowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths."
Proverbs 3:5&6

| "And that you being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:17-19
I know this is going to sound a little sappy, but you will understand my point in a minute. John and I have been married now for 5 years. We have been together for 10, since 1995. Wow! I liked John immediately when we met. After we had dated for a while, I grew to really like him. Then, I grew to love him. When I walked down the isle to marry him, I thought, "I could never love him more than I do now." However, I loved him even more when I gave birth to our two children. My love for John keeps growing. As much as I love John, Xander, and Aaliyah-Kate, Christ loves me much more. I also know that Christ's love for me is much deeper and stronger than I could ever love John or my children. I know that Christ loves me more than I love my family. That is hard to comprehend. The Bible say that Christ's love surpasses knowledge. There is no end to the love of God. He loved us before we loved Him. He loves us when we make mistakes. He loves us no matter what. Wow! God is love; He is the author of love. When we think no one loves us, God does. I am so thankful that I have a "Daddy" that loves me without reservation.
Lord, I thank You for Your love. Thank you Father for dying on the cross for my sins and the sins of the world. All we have to do is accept Your love. I pray for the teens of Refuge Youth Ministries, that You will reveal Your love to them. Show them that You love them all the time no matter what. Wrap Your arms around them and surround them with Your love, protection, favor, and blessings. In Christ's name I pray, Amen!
John and I love you all! Have a wonderful day!
